18 Hole Championship

Nestled in the shadow of Croagh Patrick, Ireland’s holy mountain, Westport Golf Club offers stunning panoramic views from its elevated perch above Clew Bay. Spanning 6,980 yards with five challenging par-five holes, this course is a true test for even the longest hitters. Designed by Fred W. Hawtree in 1973, he praised Westport, stating, “the nature of the terrain, part inland and part seaside, the panorama which it commands and its considerable golfing virtues, make it uniquely attractive and memorable.”

Pitch & Putt Course

Westport GC Pitch and Putt is a 9 hole par 3 course, open every day from dawn till dusk, and nicely embedded into the landscape of Westport Golf Course. All ages and abilities, be it beginners or experts, juveniles or adults, are invited to test their golfing skills on the course, which is prepared to a very high standard. Individual and special family discount rates apply. Golf clubs and balls can be hired from the pro shop or upstairs in the bar, outside of shop hours.

Dress Code

Neat casual wear is permitted on the golf course and in the clubhouse, including the dining room, at all times.

Not permitted on the golf course or in the Clubhouse at any time:

  • Tracksuits (Tops or Bottoms)
  • Running / training shoes
  • Canvas Trainers
  • Tennis Shoes

Men are not allowed to wear sleeveless shirts, collarless shirts or tank-tops. Tailored shorts are permissible on the golf course and in the clubhouse. Denim can be worn in the Clubhouse on weekends, though only if smart. Please note denim is not permitted on the Golf Course at any time.
